Wedding Photographer in Cardiff. Cardiff is a lovely city in South Wales and is the capital of Wales with a population of 400,00 million people. Some factoids. Cardiff attracts 2.1 million visitors each year to see the many attractions such as its castle. It's also ranked sixth in the world by National Geographic as a tourist destination, and known as the City of Arcades, with the biggest concentration of Victorian, Edwardian and modern-day indoor shopping arcades in Britain. • Wedding Photographer at Caldicot Castle, South Wales

It was during September 2019 that I had the pleasure to photograph a fantastic couple. Greta and Daniel. Greta contacted me during January 2018, and we arranged to meet up in Caerphilly. She told me of her plans to have the marriage ceremony at Caldicot Castle and then on to Brecon for the reception at the lovely Barn in Brynich Brecon. We chatted for a while - and I listened to her explain her wedding day plans for me. She was very enthusiastic, and it sounded a lovely event that I just wanted to be part of. We agreed that I would photograph her wedding the following year (2019). We kept in contact until finally, the wedding day arrived. I arrived early at Caldicot castle to look around and check my cameras etc. It was a lovely day with plenty of sunshine. Greta is a graduate art student and made most of the wedding decorations and table layouts etc. The stunning locations worked well with her artistic flair. The following photographs are just a small sample of the day. • The Wedding of Cory Amanda and Matthew at the Vale Resort Hotel, Vale of Glamorgan

Cory & Matthew had a fantastic wedding with family and friends in good spirits for the celebration. The day started with Cory Amanda at her home in Tredegar, and the marriage took place in Ystrad Mynach Church. After the ceremony, the married couple and guests met up again at the Vale Hotel, in Hensol in the Vale of Glamorgan. The weather was great, giving ample opportunities for some couple portraits and the photojournalistic images of the wedding at this stunning location. Just some of the pictures captured on the day.

  • Wedding Celebration of Sherree & Chris at Herenston Hotel Bridgend

Documenting the wedding of this lovely friendly couple was an absolute pleasure for me. The wedding took place on my birthday in August 2016. While I was taking photographs, I was blown away by the bride and her family when they presented me with a birthday cake. Considering all the mad rush and preparations for the wedding day, they still managed to remember me mentioning my birthday when they booked me about 9months before the wedding date. Sherree was so nervous I thought she wasn't going to enter Llanharan church in Rhondda Cynon Taf for the ceremony. It was that close. Thankfully she overcomes her tension with the help of family and friends, and the wedding was a great success. Congratulations both and then you again for the cake. Jim recently photographed our wedding and has done a fantastic job. His photos bring back all the little details of the day that we forgot or didn't see. He is such a nice man, he felt more of a guest than the photographer. Jim we cant thank you enough. Eyes2me was true value for money and shall recommend him to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. Thank you so much. Sherree and Chris

  • Do you need Wedding Insurance?

With the low cost of wedding insurance compared to the value of your wedding, it's something you should consider as part of your wedding budget. It's a policy that will cover you financially if something ruins your big day or it as to be cancelled or postponed. If you paid with a credit card for anything costing between £100 and £30,000, and something goes wrong you may be able to claim your money back from your credit card provider. Your home insurance policy may have some provision for weddings, or at least allow you to extend cover for a wedding. If so, check what is included. But why would you leave it to small print and chance if something goes wrong? A standalone wedding policy will cost in the region of £25 to £100 depending on the level of cover you require. The insurance will depend on your cover chosen and can cover the cancellation of your wedding if something goes wrong. For example, The cake, cars, or flowers not turning up. Public liability if you or your guests cause damage at the venue. The place closes before your wedding day after making a deposit. Not things we like to think about but genuine examples of wedding day concerns. So who supply this insurance? Just take a look on the internet and search for wedding insurance and pick a company that have a good customer feedback and been in business for some time. Call them and ask questions. It's a small price to pay.

  • Closing of Whitchurch Hospital Cardiff

Considered "cutting edge" and costing £350,000 (about £37.5m in today's money) and ten years to build, the Cardiff City Asylum Hospital opened on 15 April 1908, It closed its doors to patients 108 years later in 2016. I was fortunate to document the closure of Whitchurch Hospital Cardiff during 2015 and 2016 by taking hundreds of images both inside and out of the hospital for the Historical Society. The photos were then displayed at Whitchurch during their exhibition to mark its closure in 2016 and its 108th years anniversary. Some of the images were later exhibited in Llandough Hospital for a short time before the Historical Society used them again for publicity and further exhibitions. Please take a look at the smartphone app of just some of the images. Sun shining between the dark clouded sky over the main building at Whitchurch Hospital Cardiff The exhibition flyer

  • The Wedding of Kirsty and Jamie at Llancaiach Fawr Manor Nelson

Kirsty and Jamie had a fantastic wedding at Llancaiach Fawr Manor in the village of Nelson. It was a bright sunny day (1 July 2017) with guests making the most of the sunshine in the open grounds and the beautifully maintained garden areas of Llancaiach Fawr Manor. Bagpiper John Campell was on fine form with some excellent music that brought a tear to most eyes on the day (http://www.johncampbellbagpiper.webs.com). We started photographing from the bridal preparations into the evening disco provided by the wonderful Lynsey Pugh (www.lynseypugh.com). The colours of the traditional kilt from the groom and groomsmen was a great contrast to the chosen colours of the wedding them by Kirsty. Congratulations both and thank you for inviting me to be part of you're wedding day.
